Each bob-weight half is a precise weight so bob-weights can be weighed one half at a time.

Graduated slip nuts allow fast assembly and precise adjustment without using calipers to check the gaps.  Bob-weights also have reference marks (Letters A through H) to show which nuts go on which stud and which direction to turn the halves.
